The SIT, who is investigating the death of singer Zubeen Garg, has arrested his bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Co-Singh Amritprabha Mahant. Both were with Garg during the North India Festival on 19 September. Goswami was seen floating close to Garg while Mahanta recorded the incident. Earlier, manager Siddharth Sharma and organizer Shyamakanu Mahant were also arrested.
Digital Desk, New Delhi. A big update has surfaced in the case of singer Zubeen Garg’s death. The SIT, who is investigating the singer’s death, has arrested his bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and K-Singer Amritprabha Mahant. According to the information received, a total of four people have been arrested in this case so far.
Both Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahant were with Garg at the Yacht Party during the North India Festival on 19 September. Zubeen Garg was found dead during swimming.
Arrest after 6 days of questioning
SIT sources said that in the video, Goswami was seen floating very close to Garg, while Mahant recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone. Both were questioned in the last six days.
Siddharth Sharma, a manager of Zubeen Garg and Shyamakanu Mahant, organizer of the North East India Festival, were arrested on Wednesday and sources said that they should also interrogate Goswami and Amritprabha Mahant.
Scuba not diving, death due to drowning while swimming- report
Assam’s popular singer Zubeen Garg died of drowning not during the scuba diving, but while swimming on an island in Singapore. This information was given in media reports on Thursday. He was in Singapore to attend the North East India Festival held to commemorate the 60th year of India-ASEAN Tourism Year and India-Singapore diplomatic relations, where he died on 19 September.
According to a report by the newspaper The Straits Times published from Singapore, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that he has submitted a copy of the post -mortem report with his initial conclusions regarding the death of Zubeen Garg at the request of the Indian High Commission to the Indian High Commission. The High Commission says that it has received the report.
Zubeen died due to drowning- report
According to a source, the report said that Zubeen died of drowning. The SPF denied any disturbance in the death of a 52 -year -old singer.

The coroner is an officer who is the cause of death who is responsible for detecting the cause and manner by investigating violent or suspected deaths.
