In a significant move, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan is set to engage with leaders from various political parties within the Parliament complex on October 7. This gathering marks his inaugural meeting with party heads following his recent election to the position of Vice President, underscoring his commitment to fostering dialogue across party lines.

Among the notable attendees invited to this important meeting are BJP President and House Leader JP Nadda, along with Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge. Other prominent officials expected to participate include Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Ministers of State Arjun Ram Meghwal and L. Murugan, highlighting the event’s significance in the political landscape.

In addition to these leaders, representatives from parties such as the Trinamool Congress, DMK, AAP, RJD, BJD, Anna DMK, and CPI (C) have also been extended invitations to the meeting. This diverse assembly of political figures reflects an inclusive approach to governance and dialogue.

Sources indicate that several prominent leaders are on the invite list for this crucial gathering, including Sharad Pawar, HD Deve Gowda, M Thambidurai, Derek O Bryan, Tiruchi Shiva, Sanjay Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose Pilli, Sasam Patra, Prem Chand Gupta, Sanjay Raut, Ram Gopal Yadav, Jaan Britas, Santosh Kumar P, Praful Patel, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Ramdas Athawale, Birendra Prasad Baihab, GK Vasan, and K. Suresh Reddy, demonstrating the meeting’s broad appeal across the political spectrum.

However, it’s noteworthy that Trinamool Congress MP Derek O Bryan has indicated he will be unable to attend the meeting, although Sagarika Ghosh may step in to represent the party. This adjustment highlights the fluid nature of political engagements as leaders navigate their schedules.

This meeting is strategically timed ahead of the upcoming winter session of Parliament, which is scheduled to commence next month. According to sources, the Vice President’s initiative to convene with party leaders is part of a broader effort aimed at cultivating stronger ties with opposition leaders, fostering a spirit of collaboration and understanding as the Parliament gears up for its next session.
