The victim, a 24-year-old man named Ankur Gupta, was struck in the chest by a bullet, causing him to collapse immediately. The assailants, who arrived on motorcycles, initially approached him under the guise of booking DJ services. According to local reports, Ankur Gupta, a resident of Tikariya Gola, was targeted in a seemingly premeditated attack. Eyewitnesses recounted that the three attackers arrived on a black motorcycle and without warning, fired at Ankur. Ankur was reportedly pressured by a group of young men from Bajraha Tola to play DJ music at their event, which he refused.
