Aamir Sheikh allegedly assumed the identity of Anil, deceiving a woman and subsequently raping her while exerting pressure on her. This incident marks the second reported case of love jihad in the region within just 48 hours. Law enforcement authorities have taken the accused into custody following the woman’s complaint.
In Dhar district, specifically within the jurisdiction of the Amjhera police station, another distressing case of a married woman being ensnared in a love trap has emerged. The accused, Aamir Sheikh, manipulated the situation by falsely identifying himself as Anil, which led to a tragic outcome.
Deception and Assault
Station in-charge Raju Makwana reported that the victim detailed how Aamir, a resident of Deoband in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, cultivated a relationship with her under the guise of a different identity. Following a dispute with her husband, the girl returned to her maternal home, only for Aamir to track her down and convince her to leave with him, promising marriage.
During the time they were together, Aamir committed the heinous act of rape against the woman and began to pressure her into converting to his faith. In desperation, she sought help from local authorities and lodged a formal complaint. As a result, a case has been initiated against Aamir Sheikh under relevant sections pertaining to rape and the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act.
Another Alarming Love Trap Case
In a separate yet equally concerning incident of love jihad, a member of a notorious group known as the fish gang in Bhopal has been implicated. Shah Siddiqui, claiming to be of Hindu faith, ensnared a young woman in his manipulative web by deceiving her into believing he was someone else. He allegedly mixed an intoxicating substance in pan masala and forced it upon the victim before committing rape.
Following the assault, Siddiqui resorted to blackmailing the woman by recording her in compromising situations. He also pressured her to convert to his religion. It is noteworthy that the fish gang in Bhopal had previously come under scrutiny after several women victims of sexual assault and extortion filed complaints with local police. The recent revelations about Shah Siddiqui have brought the gang’s alarming activities back into the spotlight.
Previous Conviction of Shah Siddiqui
According to police reports, Shah Siddiqui was previously apprehended two years ago in connection to a case involving a 26-year-old woman. Originally from Jabalpur, the woman had traveled to Bhopal in search of employment when she encountered Siddiqui, who had introduced himself as Sachin. After gaining her trust, he proceeded to assault her and subsequently engaged in blackmail. In light of these events, law enforcement has filed charges against Siddiqui under multiple sections, including those of the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act.
