Strong Warning on Russian Oil Tankers
Putin further issued a stark warning to Western nations regarding efforts to confiscate Russian oil tankers operating in international waters. Putin also paid tribute to Michael Gloss, the son of a former deputy CIA chief, who joined the Russian military and tragically lost his life in Ukraine in 2024. The Russian president announced that he had awarded Gloss a medal posthumously, which was presented to U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff during his visit to Moscow.
“He sacrificed his life defending those values as a Russian soldier, just as Kirk did while standing up for similar values in the United States,” Putin remarked, drawing a parallel between the sacrifices made by Gloss and Kirk.
In response, the CIA released a statement stating, “We regard Michael’s death as a private family issue — not a matter of national security. The entire CIA community mourns this loss.”
