University Registrar Under Pressure for Explanation on Oversight

The incident has been met with criticism from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Pushpendra Singh Rathore, the Metropolitan Minister of ABVP, stated that student representatives approached the university registrar to demand answers regarding this oversight. However, they were left dissatisfied with the response they received. Subsequently, the Controller of Examinations, P.S. Rajput, was called in to address the concerns, and he promised to initiate an inquiry into the matter.

Controller of Examinations Resigns Amid Escalating Controversy

In light of the growing uproar surrounding the examination paper, P.S. Rajput chose to resign from his position as Controller of Examinations. The university registrar, Vikaschand Garg, confirmed that Rajput submitted his resignation in writing, which will now undergo processing at the university level. The administration has requested two days to address the students’ concerns and has committed to finding a resolution following a thorough investigation.

This exam was centered on the subject titled “History of India from 1885 to 1964.” However, students were presented with questions addressing topics such as the 1857 revolution and the Indian Council Act, which were not part of the designated curriculum.

Growing Frustration Among Students and Faculty
