In the midst of a contentious property dispute, Mandira Kapoor, sister of Sanjay Kapoor, has opened up about the long-standing relationship between her brother and actress Karisma Kapoor. She attributes the breakdown of their relationship to the involvement of their sister-in-law, Priya Sachdev, shedding light on the dynamics that led to their separation. This revelation comes as the public becomes increasingly curious about the once close-knit bond between Sanjay and Karisma.
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. Once celebrated as one of Bollywood’s most admired couples, Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor saw their 13-year marriage come to an end in 2016. Following their separation, Karisma became a single mother to their two children, Adhara and Kian. In 2017, Sanjay married businesswoman Priya Sachdev, marking a new chapter in his life.
Since Sanjay Kapoor’s passing earlier this year, disputes regarding his estate have erupted. Priya Sachdev has leveled serious accusations against both her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Additionally, Karisma, Sanjay’s second wife, has taken legal action concerning the children, further complicating the already tumultuous situation.
Allegations of Infidelity Surface
Mandira Kapoor has recently accused Priya of being a significant factor in the deterioration of the relationship between Karisma and her brother. During an interview with Vicky Lalwani, she disclosed that she was aware of Sanjay’s extramarital involvement with Priya ever since they met on a flight. “I was not pleased with their connection,” Mandira stated. “Lolo (Karisma) and my brother were actually in a good place at that time, especially after the birth of Kian. Sanjay was very focused on his children.”

Interference in a Troubled Marriage
Mandira further expressed her disapproval of Priya’s actions, stating, “It is inappropriate for another woman to intrude on a family, especially when a child has just been born. It’s simply wrong to disrupt a happy marriage or one that is attempting to heal. You cannot cause a rift when you have just welcomed a child into the world and subsequently separated.”
Family Opposition to the Union
Mandira also revealed that their late father was staunchly against Sanjay’s relationship with Priya Sachdev. She recounted, “Dad was completely opposed to Priya. He insisted that Sanjay should never consider marrying her and made it clear that he never wanted to see her face again. None of the family supported their union because while I love my brother, it was Lolo who had the children, and she had everything to lose.”

Mandira disclosed that she and her family chose not to attend Sanjay and Priya’s wedding, making her stance clear. She emphasized her lack of support for their relationship. Regrettably, she also noted that she was unable to be there for Karisma during such a difficult time, acknowledging that Karisma felt deeply hurt by the situation.
