The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for students who will be taking the 10th and 12th-grade exams in 2026. Schools can now submit their LOC with a late fee until October 11, 2025, via the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Here are the important details regarding this extension.

CBSE 10th and 12th LOC Submission for 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has reopened the submission portal for the List of Candidates pertaining to the class 10 and 12 board examinations. Initially, the LOC submission portal was closed on September 30, 2025, without any late fee. However, it was reopened on October 3, 2025. According to the revised timeline, the last date for submitting the LOC with payment through Challan is set for October 8, 2025. All other payment methods, excluding Challan, will remain available until October 11, 2025.
As stated in the official notification, CBSE has issued eight reminders to assist schools in adhering to the submission guidelines. The notification highlights that despite these repeated reminders and ample time provided, many schools have yet to submit their LOCs by the designated deadlines. The final date for schools to submit LOCs without late fees was September 22, 2025, for those using Challan, and September 30, 2025, for payments made through Internet Banking, UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, NEFT, RTGS, and international transactions, including those from Nepal.

According to the notification, all school principals are required to submit the LOC within the specified timeline, including the late fee. The LOC submission portal will close as per the new schedule, and no further submissions will be accepted beyond that date.
Schools that do not submit the LOC by the established deadline will face full responsibility for any consequences, which may include the disqualification of candidates from participating in the CBSE Board Exam in 2026.
