**New Delhi.** On Sunday, May 4, during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) match, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Rajasthan Royals. For Rajasthan, the match is crucial as they aim to secure a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Unfortunately for them, their chances of making it to the playoffs have already diminished. In contrast, KKR still has a shot at qualifying.
Currently, the Kolkata Knight Riders sit in 7th place on the points table, having won only 4 out of 10 matches, with one match called off. Their objective is to claim victory in all remaining matches to achieve a total of 17 points and qualify for the playoffs. Out of their last four matches, two will be played at their home ground. Losing to Rajasthan could complicate their path to the playoffs.
Following the clash with the Rajasthan Royals, KKR will host the Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. Additionally, they have upcoming matches against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 10 and May 17, respectively. Both the Rajasthan and Chennai teams are nearly out of the playoff contention, which means they will enter the matches without significant pressure, making it challenging for KKR. According to the IMD report, rain is expected in Kolkata tomorrow, with temperatures ranging from a high of 33 degrees to a low of 24 degrees.
